Martine Najem Kteily: Biography

Public health and development professional with over 18 years of experience in strategic planning, program management and coordination, capacity development and training, policy change, advocacy and communication.

Engaged practitioner with expertise in the areas of gender equality, population, reproductive and sexual health, youth wellbeing, and ageing.

Worked on building strong networks and partnerships across sectors and with agencies from the public, private, UN and civil society in Lebanon and the Arab region.

Holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from the American University of Beirut.

Instructor of Public Health Practice at the Center for Public Health Practice (CPHP) and the Department of Health Promotion and Community Health at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut (AUB) since February 2012.

Active member of the Free Patriotic Movement serving currently as advisor to the vice president for administrative and managerial affairs.

Appointed as member of the National Commission for Lebanese Women and elected to its executive board in 2017.

Married to Nour Kteily and mother of two children: Fouad and Gabrielle.
