National Commission for Lebanese Women (NCLW) strives to assure equality between women and men in all aspects. The gender equality issue is an important issue, as it is directly related to the respect, protection and fulfillment of human rights set forth in the various international conventions signed and ratified by the Lebanese government.
National Commission for Lebanese Women is an official body, which was established in 1998 by law 720, and is directly affiliated to the presidency of the Council of ministers.
